Three teams out on the first Sunday of the season

24 Apr 2017 by William Taylor

With the 1st XI playing in Oxfordshire in the National Club Championship, we still found 22 players to take on Oundle 1st and Market Overton 1st and although, as expected, we were nowhere near strong enough to beat them both sides put up spirited performances and some very young lads were blooded in the senior game. Charles Anslow batted in a very mature and skilful manner, Charlie Fytche was super enthusiastic and belied his stature to show wicket keeping and batting promise and Callum Brownlie top scored for the team and bowled well without reward.

Digging deep and our junior ethos is what makes Nassington such a good cricket club.
